Just admit it, you are addicted to social media as much as drug dealers are addicted to their heroin!
Since the moment you wake up, you check all of your social media accounts to see if you have missed anything when you were asleep.
The day goes on and you still constantly jump from one app to another, from one notification to another, and from one message to another. When the night comes, you won’t close your eyes until you spend a minimum of one hour on each app… It is like a ritual that must be followed or your end will come!
According to a survey by the American Psychiatric Association, 45% of American adults view social media as both beneficial and harmful to us while 5% view it as positive.
Whether it is good or bad, we can’t deny that social media addiction is a real issue that can affect our physical and mental health negatively.
Otherwise, we will be dealing with issues like loneliness, social anxiety, lower self-esteem, isolation, depression, and leading to obesity (lack of movement), diabetes and many more serious issues.
Thankfully, there are a few things you can do that will help protecting you from the negative impacts of social media – Everyone should follow them, in case they believed it to be bad or not!
